Here, in one place, a variety of content can be found that is relevant to an employer in the retail industry, where the workforce is often young, diverse and temporary.
A majority of HR professionals believe that implementing the requirements of health care reform will increase their administrative burden and costs, according to a recent survey conducted by XpertHR in partnership with emedia.
Content Spotlight:
Managing March Madness
As the NCAA basketball tournament kicks off March 21, odds are many employees will be checking their bracket standings during work time or streaming live games on office computers. In addition, employees bringing their own tablets and smartphones into the workplace may engage in flagrant "cyber-slacking" because personal devices lack corporate firewalls or other employer-installed internet controls. The Prevent Employee Time Theft Task can help HR avoid a drop in productivity.
An employer also may wish to implement and disseminate a policy addressing gambling, office pools and fantasy sports leagues in the workplace. Any workplace rules should be accompanied by an effectively communicated and consistently applied discipline procedure, which is addressed in the Discipline an Employee Task.
Finally, the Manage an Employee With a Gambling Problem Task can help an employer learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of gambling addiction and deal with the problem effectively.

Did you know you can enhance your search results with the use of quotation marks?
When performing a search on two or more words, such as searching for Health Care, the XpertHR search will retrieve articles containing any of the queried terms, and not necessarily articles containing all of the queried terms. To retrieve articles containing your entire queried phrase, place quotation marks around your search term. For example, when searching for "Health Care" with the addition of quotation marks, your XpertHR results will consist only of articles containing the exact phrase.
