    California Gender Nondiscrimination Law Adds New Requirements for Employers
    The California Gender Nondiscrimination Act amended the California Fair Employment and Housing Act to add gender identity and gender expression as protected classes.

    OSHA Revamps HazCom Standard to Match Globally Harmonized Standard

    After much anticipation, OSHA recently updated its Hazard Communication Standard to be closer to the Globally Harmonized Standard. Employers have been given a series of rolling updates to bring their hazard communication programs into compliance with the new standard.



    Can employers access the personal email of employees prepared using a Yahoo, AOL, Gmail or Hotmail account and not the employer's email system if prepared on the employer's computer?

    Yes. Employees who access web-based or private email accounts, including AOL, Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and instant messenger, from an employer's computer are subject to having such emails accessed by the employer. Read more...
