Reflection and Thanksgiving.
While so much of the Thanksgiving holiday revolves around food, family, sports and shopping - using this time for reflection and thanks is remarkable. Particularly in this year of such unusually challenging global, regional and local events, reflecting on the challenges, but also the resilience, determination and fortitude of people to find new solutions and recover from tribulations is affirming.
Personally, I'm thankful for so much:
... the resilience of human spirit and the public and private sectors in responding to the sometimes overwhelming recent natural disasters of Superstorm Sandy and the subsequent nor'easter;
... the free and democratic elections process here in the US, enabling change and public discourse;
... the ability to invest in and launch a new product such as XpertHR during challenging fiscal times in true entrepreneurial spirit;
... our fantastic team who were hired as individuals and evolved into a collaborative team as we developed and launched an award-winning new service, despite numerous debilitating natural events and challenging economic times;
... that this list barely touches the list of what I'm thankful for.
What are you thankful for?
Have a thankful holiday.
